Malaysian Economy Minister Akmal Nasser Mohammad stated that the country is implementing measures to address the fuel shortage caused by the conflict in the Middle East. He noted that June and July will be a critical period to ensure fuel supply availability. «It will be equally important for industries to have a wide supply of other raw materials, including those derived from oil and gas,» he added. Earlier, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim had indicated that Malaysia might face uncertainty regarding fuel supplies in the coming June.
