Malaysia's Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has unveiled a plan to implement an innovative teaching system in schools named the "Collaborative Teaching Method" starting from 2027. This initiative is part of efforts to develop the educational process and enhance the quality of academic and educational outcomes.

The new system is based on having two teachers in one classroom. The first will supervise the academic aspects and educational content, while the second will focus on the educational aspects and supporting students' character building.

This approach aims to create a balance between academic achievement and personal development, and to enhance the integration of education and upbringing within the school environment.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that this initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to update teaching methods in Malaysia and to prepare a generation that possesses integrated cognitive and behavioral skills in line with future requirements.
